Construction of flood-risk spaces. Case study: San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina

Building risk spaces differ according to the history of urban development and environmental context each city. The aim this work is analyze historical-territorial periods that generated construction flood areas in city San Carlos de Bariloche, Rio Negro, Argentina. Dagwood Sandwich methodology was applied urbanization its transformations over time role played by environment impacts caused society. Correlations were observed within six crosscutting moments at different scales (local, provincial, national international) exposed dangers. This allows identifying acknowledging current historical situation, order forecast possible trends expansion generation new flood-risk territories.
